Writing this blog has been a joyful journey. I have enjoyed it and I am going to share some of my experiences and some of the things I have learned during this process.
The starting process was quite difficult because I had no idea of how I should write a blog. I was very confused, but in the end, I chose to do what I felt and gave my personal touch to it. The first post was quite easy to write, but as we went more into the process there were more difficult tasks. This required to think critically and search for the details. This has also changed me because after this project I have been a much more observant reader and I have learned to think a bit deeper into the book.
The whole assignment was a bit informal and it was much easier to be personal. I chose to write from a first-person perspective because I felt that it was the most suitable for this task. Generally, I like to write formal text, but I wanted to challenge myself so I chose to write it more informal since we had the space to do as we wanted.
Another part of the blog task was to read other people´s blog and comment on it. When I was reading other people´s work I found a lot of similarities and differences. Everybody has their own style of writing and some of the blogs were completely different style. I definitely gained an insight into other people`s work and I think that it was very fun. People from the class were also commenting on my blog, but it was not always so constructive.
I found that this type of an assignment is a remarkable way to work with a book. Personally, I had never done something like this and writing a blog is quite out of my comfort zone. I think that this was very unique and it was a unique experience. This assignment has also changed me because I feel much more confident about writing English essays. I like assignments that are different and at the same time very knowledgeable.
